I just love decorating in the spring – particularly for Easter. With so many flowers suddenly bursting into bloom, it’s easy to find decor inspiration everywhere you look. Vibrant fresh leaves, colorful bulbs, and cool weather annuals are making their appearance now – perfect for an Easter tablescape. What a beautiful reminder that Jesus makes us fresh and new too, and it’s why we celebrate Easter.

Tablescape Bloom-spiration
Last fall, I planted a number of spring-flowering bulbs…daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, iris, and muscari. After a long winter’s nap, they rewarded me with gorgeous color and fragrance. I couldn’t resist clipping a few for the house, and just love the sweetness they add. Once I saw them on my library table, I knew they would be the perfect centerpiece for my Easter tablescape.

Easter Tablescape: The Details
I began my Easter tablescape with a pretty pink tablecloth and coral napkins. Definitely check out thrift stores for table linens – you’d be amazed at what you can find! Oftentimes I see them brand new with tags. Just give them a warm wash in antibacterial laundry detergent, a quick press, and you’re good to go!
The place settings belonged to my great aunt. They’re discontinued now, but you can still find them on Replacements.com. The pattern is Cafe Floral by Dansk. She loved flowers – Forget-Me-Nots in particular, which is why she chose this pattern. It makes me smile every time I use these pieces. She also ADORED ice cream, and had an ice cream ‘happy hour’ every afternoon at 5:00. The sweet ruffled ice cream bowls were also hers. Each plate is sitting on a burlap placemat. I just love the its slightly rustic foil to the more formal china. Here are similar placemats.

Celebrating Easter
The centerpiece to my Easter tablescape is very simple – mix and match bud vases filled with bulbs. I clipped some branches from my Weeping Willow tree to add softness between the vases.

Since palms are an important symbol during the Easter season, I added a Majesty Palm to the corner of my breakfast nook. I love how it contrasts with my plate wall(DIY found here).

Draw Together
Regardless of your plans this Easter, I hope you will use this time to draw together with friends and loved ones. Set a pretty table, bake some goodies, and enjoy this beautiful time. Happy Easter!
